Do you know how to wash a car cover or do you need some tips on how to take care of a car cover? We have collected some car cover care instructions for you.
Washing
If the cover has been used to protect your car for many weeks, first remove excess dust with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner (reduced power). Our interior protection car covers are machine washable at 30C (choose a gentle cycle). Remove any grease stains beforehand using a little washing-up liquid diluted in water or Marseille soap (I have read that grease stains can be removed by melting a little butter on the stain but I have never tried…).
The outdoor covers can also be machine-washed, but their size does not allow them to be used in a conventional washing machine. Therefore, you will have to look for an industrial washing machine or wash it by hand. You can leave the cover on the car for hand washing and wash it with a mild detergent (using a very soft sponge or brush) then rinse it. Do not use bleach on the fabric.
Drying
Dry the cover in the open air and as flat as possible to avoid possible deformations. Do not tumble dry.
Ironing
You can iron your car cover at low temperature - 110C max
Great service. Arrived from Spain with all tax and duties paid, so the price I was quoted is what I ended up paying. The cover has been up for 4 days with 2 days of rain and everything is fine and dry inside. It has used less than 1kw/h of power to date (I have a socket that monitors and tells you), and uses about 18W of power when running. I have added an OSB base inside the bottom of the bubble to protect it from the tyres on my car and do it maintains its 6x2.2m profile (as the car is way narrower than 2.2m). I am very happy with the bubble cover and would recommend it to anyone needing to protect their pride and joy from the elements and accidental scratches from next doors rug rats on their scooters and tricycles. Consider a dehumidifier if you’re living in the UK too to run inside. The bubble bulges as it’s operated via an over pressure, but rests on the car until inflated. I still have my soft cover on the car inside this bubble just in case it deflates. The bubble cover is smooth inside but I wouldn’t want it resting on my paint work for any length of time.
Top-quality cover that exceeded my expectationsBy:Luis Martins
Very satisfied with the service and the quality of the Cover Company cover. It was exactly what I had always imagined, and it was only possible here. Many thanks and, of course, I’ve become a customer; I can only recommend it, and that’s what I’ll do.
My motorbike is from the 1980s and I was worried getting a perfect fit might be impossible. To my relief and surprise Cover Company sent me a photo of a similar bike with questions confirming the configuration. The result is a perfect fit. Stitching and material is excellent. Quality exceeds my expectations. I’m so glad I chose to purchase from Cover Company.
